How do you walk the Labyrinth?
There is no right or wrong way to walk a Labyrinth. The following are just guidelines but it is recommended that you always stay within the lines, that you finish the walk from the centre by retracing your steps to where you started, and by respecting the quiet of the Labyrinth if it is in use by others. It is acceptable to overtake or pass others along the path.
Preparation
Pause a moment at the entrance and take a few deep breaths. Identify what you are seeking – clarity, guidance, solace, inspiration, peace etc.
The Path In
Walking the path into the centre is the time to clear your mind, open your heart and relax. Set your own pace and focus on your breath. Don’t worry if your thoughts interfere, just refocus on your breath and continue. Do what feels natural.
In the Centre
Stand or sit as long as you like in silence. Be open to receive what is there for you.
Walking Out
When you are ready, begin your walk back out. Be aware of what you are feeling and take it with you out in to the world.
No walk is ever the same. Whether you follow the above guidelines or choose to sing, dance, pray or play we hope that you will return many times to walk the Kyogle Harmony Labyrinth.
